Maxine… What the Heck Did you Just Say?!

I’m… not even sure what she just said here. I’ve watched this clip literally about seven times, and I’m not sure what she’s saying here.

Does she think there are 700 billion people living in Kentucky?! Does she think 700 billion people in the USA are going to lose Medicaid?

Does she think there are 700 billion people on the entire planet?!

So I am honestly not sure what she is talking about here. And why are our politicians so insane about grossly exaggerating everything? It wasn’t that long ago that Terry McAuliffe tried to tell us we lose 95 million Americans a day to gun violence. (On a bizarre side note, I just spent 20 minutes trying to find a link to that story. WTF?! Search it on Google. You’ll find it eventually, but you have to sift through all the salon.com articles and HuffPo articles about the horrors of guns first. And I know I posted a link on Twitter to this story, but damn if I could find it)

“I do not necessarily support the president’s decision,” Waters said. ” I think that if the president would have fired him when he first came in, he would not have to be in a position now where he is trying to make up a story about why. It does not meet the smell test.”

However, in the interview Wednesday on MSNBC, asked if she would be okay with a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton dismissing Comey from his position, Waters said yes.

“If she had won the White House, I believe that given what he did to her, and what he tried to do, she should have fired him. Yes,” the California Democrat said.

“So she should have fired him but had he shouldn’t fire him. This is why I’m confused,” Alexander said to Waters.

No, you’re not confused. If the president is implicated in an investigation —

I am confused.

— the president of the United States who has a history of firing people who get close to, you know, him and his allies like Flynn, and like Miss Yates, he will fire them if he believes somehow they’re getting too close to him in these investigations. I believe that the president of the United States should not have done this in the middle of an investigation. That’s it.

But since she thinks Comey cost Hillary the election, if she was president… he wouldn’t “done” anything “to her.” So… yeah, this makes no sense. But it’s Maxine Waters, so…

In the midst of a national financial catastrophe, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) used her position as a senior member of Congress and member of the House Financial Services Committee to prevail upon Treasury officials to meet with OneUnited Bank.  She never disclosed that her husband held stock in the bank.  This outrageous conduct has led Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) to include the congresswoman as one of the Most Corrupt Members of Congress. 

“By contacting then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to request a meeting, allegedly for a group of minority-owned banks, but then arranging for only one bank – OneUnited, in which she had a financial interest – to attend, Rep. Waters violated House conflict of interest rules,” said CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan.

“While CREW has named many Republicans as being corrupt, the fact that they selected Waters is evidence of the dislike some progressives have towards the shoot-from-the-hip rabble-rouser,” said political watchdog Lamar Jenkins, a former police official.
